Theft From Marines’ Accounts Investigated
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Authorities are investigating a possible case of a Marine or ex-Marine running up $38,000 in bills from the on-base credit union accounts of 15 Marines deployed in Iraq.
All of the victims are from the same unit, officials said.
An official from Pacific Marine Credit Union said the company will pay the bills so that none of the Marines is charged.
