Russia and Iran ended a day of talks on Iran’s nuclear program without any apparent breakthrough.

Moscow has offered to enrich uranium for Iran, but Iran’s top negotiator dismissed Russia’s call for his country to freeze its domestic enrichment program.

The Russian offer, backed by the United States and Europe, is widely seen as the final opportunity for Iran to address the West’s concerns before a March 6 meeting of the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency, a step toward possible U.N. Security Council sanctions against Iran.
