Murphy’s Effort Leads USC to Win

Eshaya Murphy had 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead USC past Arizona, 76-60, Sunday at the Lyon Center.

Meghan Gnekow had a career-high 13 rebounds for the Trojans, 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the Pacific 10 Conference, who outrebounded Arizona, 43-25. Joy Hollingsworth led Arizona (5-10, 1-4) with 14 points.

No. 2 Duke 86, No. 6 Maryland 68 -- Lindsey Harding and Chante Black each scored 19 points, and the Blue Devils (14-0, 3-0) forced 24 turnovers in rolling past the Terrapins (14-2, 1-1) in an Atlantic Coast Conference game at College Park, Md.

No. 14 Purdue 51, Michigan 43 -- Aya Traore scored 13 points and Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton had six points in the final minutes to lead Purdue (12-2, 4-0) past the Wolverines (6-10, 0-4) in a Big Ten game at Ann Arbor, Mich.

No. 17 Georgia 89, Florida 70 -- Sherill Baker scored 20 points at Athens, Ga., for the Lady Bulldogs (11-3 overall, 2-0 in the Southeastern Conference). Florida (13-2, 1-1) had won 11 in a row.

No. 25 Virginia Tech 67, No. 19 Boston College 62 -- Megan Finnerty and Kirby Copeland combined for 26 points to lift the Hokies (14-1, 1-1) over the Eagles (12-4, 0-2) in an ACC game at Blacksburg, Va.

Arkansas 52, No. 20 Vanderbilt 51 -- Reserve Leslie Howard led Arkansas (10-5, 2-0 SEC) with 13 points, including the winning free throw with 2.1 seconds left in overtime at Fayetteville, Ark. Dee Davis led Vanderbilt (11-4, 0-1) with 15 points.

No. 24 Temple 66, La Salle 64 -- Candice Dupree scored 29 points for the Owls (10-3, 2-0 in the Atlantic 10) in an overtime game at Philadelphia. Davineia Payne had 21 points for La Salle (5-8, 2-1).
