4 Sent to Hospital After Auto Strikes LAPD Car
Two Los Angeles Police Department officers responding to an emergency were injured Friday night when their vehicle was struck by another car.
A department spokesman said Saturday that the officers had their lights and sirens on when the accident occurred about 9 p.m. Friday at Ventura Boulevard and Yolanda Avenue.
Fire Department rescuers used a hydraulic tool to free a woman from the passenger seat of the car that struck the police vehicle. Both officers and both occupants of the other car were taken to a hospital, but none suffered a life-threatening injury, according to a police spokesman.
