The Real Draw for Movie Audiences Isn’t Stars

Movie studios can juggle the books all they want (“Hollywood Studios Rewriting Pay System for Their Talent,” Jan. 13) in order to earn back their investment, but until they realize it’s a good story that people want to see and not highly paid stars, the cost of making movies will remain in the stratosphere.

When does a star make a film? It’s story, folks -- story, story, story.
