Teen Motorist Dies in Early Morning Wreck

A teenage driver was killed early Thursday on Laguna Canyon Road when her southbound car drifted into the northbound lane and collided with a 27-foot delivery truck, authorities said.
Jamie Verst, 19, of Laguna Beach died at the scene. The 4 a.m. crash, which occurred in the 20600 block, closed the road until about 9:15 a.m.
