Prompt as the 6-5 favorite in his first start for trainer Ted H. West on May 7, Miracle Maker will try something different in the seventh race tonight at Hollywood Park. The race is part of a pick six with a carry-over of $526,158.

A 4-year-old gelded son of Out of Place, Miracle Maker will make his first start around two turns in the $51,000 allowance at 1 1/16 miles on the turf. In his previous nine races, Miracle Maker has run 5 1/2 , six or 6 1/2 furlongs.

Claimed for $40,000 two races ago by West for owner Cary Raffety, Miracle Maker won at the same level in his return to Hollywood Park and is now perfect in two starts in Inglewood.
