4 Militants, 1 Officer Dead After Shootout

Syrian anti-terrorism police fought Islamic militants near the Defense Ministry in a gun battle that killed four militants and an officer, the government said.
The shootout came after police heard that an “extremist terrorist unit” was in the area, the Interior Ministry said. It said six militants who were captured were being interrogated about their motives.
