Man Gets 12 Years in Plot to Smuggle Jet Parts

A Pakistani national was sentenced Monday to 12 years in prison after being convicted of trying to smuggle military aircraft parts out of the country.
Arif Ali Durrani was convicted in 1987 of a similar offense. At his trial, prosecutors showed that Durrani moved to Rosarito Beach in Baja California and attempted to ship aircraft parts to the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Belgium.
