Criminal Case Filed Against Towing Firm
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo on Thursday filed a 72-count criminal complaint against Non Stop Towing and its two principals, alleging that the company illegally towed vehicles from private parking lots.
The charges include auto tampering and attempted extortion.
Investigators said the company didn’t obtain written permission from parking lot owners to tow vehicles, refused to accept credit cards, charged excessive fees and operated without a valid motor carrier permit.
