Pedestrian Is Killed by Metrolink Train

An apparent suicide caused delays on Metrolink’s Inland Empire to Orange County line for nearly two hours Thursday morning, authorities said.
At 6 a.m., a train bound for Oceanside from San Bernardino struck and killed a woman who had walked onto the tracks near Orangethorpe Avenue and Imperial Highway, Metrolink officials said.
Trains began moving through the area at 7:30 a.m., and the train involved in the accident continued to Oceanside at 8 a.m.
