Rub the belly of the phat Buddha

So it’s already been a year since Gianni Capaldi brought the scene Red Buddha Lounge, a hot little spot on Yucca that continues to offer a reprieve for those who want their clubbing with less ‘tude and more action. The Red Buddha celebrates its first anniversary on Saturday with some star-studded fun. Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden shares record-spinning duties with DJ Bakdraft, and among the red carpet dwellers will be hostess Alicia Witt and “Fast and the Furious 3” actress Nathalie Kelley. And we hear the club’s been tweaked to make room for a pole dancing stage.

Closing up, and opening, shop

Those who like to order their buckets of bones from the Beverly Hills rib joint/club R.J.’s (and that includes Aaron Spelling and David Beckham) have only six more months to enjoy. Owner Michael Najjar has sold the eatery to California Pizza Kitchen, which plans to remodel the venue into an LA Food Show, an offshoot of CPK, starting Jan. 1. Najjar, who also owns Tempest on Santa Monica Boulevard in WeHo, is gearing up to open a nightclub in Paris.... The sweet and sexy burlesque show Harlottique celebrates its second anniversary at the Day After club at Hollywood & Highland on June 25.... Il Sole in WeHo continues to attract A-listers. On Saturday, Justin Timberlake dined with his family, while Jessica Simpson munched on truffles.... “Jackass” Steve-O hosted a Metal Skool/Camel party at the Key Club on Monday with pals Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn.

Actress Rachel Bilson co-hosts a party tonight at Memphis to raise money for the Los Angeles Mission.... “Lost” actress Evangeline Lily celebrates her new gig as the face/feet for shoe purveyor Michelle K tonight at Kitson.... Don’t miss the “White Party” on Friday night at Vanguard in Hollywood, where the Visionshock promoters, who cater to the Asian American community, will be warming up for the June 24 Asian American talent show at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.... And while we’re on the subject of talent, you won’t believe how good-looking the crowd is at Shag every other Thursday -- also promoted by Visionshock.
