Another art stop in Ensenada
I was pleased to read the piece on Ensenada [“Ensenada’s Treasures,” June 15]. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there 40 years ago and have returned often to that wonderful city. In addition to the writer’s suggestions, I would like to highlight a gallery featuring art local to Ensenada. The Guadalupe Art Gallery (www.guadalupe-artgallery.com) is representative of the beautiful work done there. Guadalupe Gaos’ work is wonderful, and it’s a family art; her mother did the same fine work. It’s complex, combining etching with hand painting. Whenever we go to Ensenada, we add to our collection of her work.
