2 Men Shot Dead, 1 Hurt at Quinceanera Party
An argument at a 15-year-old girl’s birthday party turned deadly when a man pulled out a gun and shot three people, two fatally, authorities said Sunday.
The shootings took place about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at a quinceanera party in the 3700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Don Manumaleuna.
One of the victims, 19-year-old Esteban Bueno, was pronounced dead at the scene, Manumaleuna said.
Another, 20-year-old Laro de la Rosa, died just before noon Sunday at a nearby hospital, according to sheriff’s and coroner’s reports.
A 19-year-old man was hospitalized for treatment of his wounds.
The gunman was not arrested, and investigators do not know his identity, Manumaleuna said.
