THANK YOU, Al Martinez, for your wonderful column on Art Buchwald [“Laughing His Way to Pearly Gates,” March 24]. It’s so nice to hear about the old people I grew up enjoying. I’ve been a newspaper nut since I was 10 years old and read the Chicago Trib every morning and the Herald-American every night! I remember going out on the front porch to get the Trib to see if they caught Dillinger yet.
