Militants Free 3 Foreign Hostages, Source Says

From Times Wire Reports

Three foreign oil workers, two Americans and a Briton, were freed today after being held hostage by militants in Nigeria since Feb. 18, a U.S. diplomatic source said.

“They are all in good health,” the source told Reuters news agency.

Kidnappings and attacks on foreign oil facilities by the rebel Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, which has demanded a greater share of oil wealth, have cut the nation’s oil output by about 18%.
