A more intimate Tango

KIIS-FM (102.7) is back on top of the area radio ratings, but the Top 40 powerhouse’s big concert showcase is cutting back. In the past, the orgy of hit makers known as Wango Tango has been held in the Rose Bowl, Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium. But in its ninth year as a public event, the concert is being scaled down, moving to the 16,000-capacity Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The lineup is also leaner and more focused, with top-ranked Kanye West and Mary J. Blige joined by Daddy Yankee, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Baby Bash, Nick Cannon, Ray J and Natasha Bedingfield.

Wango Tango, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, 8808 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine. 5 p.m. Saturday. $46 to $204.50. Sold out. (949) 855-8096.
