Bombings at Police School Kill 6 Officers
Five bombs ripped through a police training school in Quetta, killing six members of an anti-terrorism unit and wounding nine, Pakistani police said.
A tribal militant group claimed responsibility for the attack in Baluchistan, a province where tribesmen are fighting for greater autonomy and an increase in royalties for resources extracted from their territories.
The bombs, wired to go off in sequence, were hidden around a firing range, senior city police official Wazir Nasar said. Two tribesmen were being questioned, he said.
