Irvine Woman Is Being Held in Business Arson
An Irvine woman was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of arson, according to police.
Officers who responded to a call from a business on Grace Lane south of Baker Street found a man and a woman involved in a scuffle.
No one wanted to press charges, officers said, but about 15 minutes later, the business was on fire.
City firefighters quickly contained the blaze, which caused $5,000 damage.
Linda Wallings, 37, whom police identified as the woman involved in the disturbance, was arrested on suspicion of arson and booked into Orange County Jail. Bail was set at $250,000.
