Police, Citing Danger, Kill Mountain Lion

A mountain lion that was resting in a tree was shot and killed by police over the weekend, authorities said.
Officers decided to shoot the lion Sunday morning after consulting with state fish and game officials. Authorities said there were too many people around to risk trying to subdue the animal.
