Voters can cast early ballots through Monday

Tuesday is election day. Your polling place is printed on the back of the sample ballot that was mailed to you. You can also find it by visiting www.lavote.netor by calling (800) 815-2666. All polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Voters in Los Angeles County who wish to vote early can go to electronic voting stations throughout the county.

The office of the registrar-recorder/county clerk in Norwalk, 12400 Imperial Highway, is open today and Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be open Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On election day it will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Early touch-screen voting is also available at 16 other locations throughout the county. Today is the last day to vote at these sites:

* Monterey Park City Hall, 320 W. Newmark Ave.

* North Hills Mid-Valley Library, 16244 Nordhoff St.

* Pasadena Jackie Robinson Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Ave.

* Redondo Beach Public Library, 303 N. Pacific Coast Highway

* Valencia County Regional Library, 23743 W. Valencia Blvd.

* West Covina County Regional Library, 1601 W. Covina Parkway

Those who are visually impaired can use the electronic voting units with audio headsets or large-size text. Electronic ballots are available in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese.

The deadline for registering to vote has passed.
