Mayor asks council to delay living-wage vote

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa sent City Council President Eric Garcetti a letter Tuesday asking for more time before the council votes on extending its living-wage ordinance to about 3,500 workers at 13 hotels along Century Boulevard near LAX.
Villaraigosa said he wants to give the business community more time to air its concerns.
