Johan Franzen’s tiebreaking short-handed goal helped the Detroit Red Wings defeat the Vancouver Canucks, 3-2, on Tuesday in Vancouver, Canada.
In other games: Miikka Kiprusoff made 24 saves and the Calgary Flames beat the St. Louis Blues, 3-0, at Calgary, Canada.... Yanic Perreault and Oleg Saprykin each scored two goals to lead the Phoenix Coyotes over the Minnesota Wild, 4-3, at Glendale, Ariz.... Jaromir Jagr scored two goals 26 seconds apart to help rally the New York Rangers to a 3-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden.
