Political sandbox

If you put several hundred kids in a playground and tell them that they can do whatever they want, you have no right to complain about any selfish or unethical behavior that results. So it is with politicians and their “earmarks.” It’s absurd to debate which party is more guilty of using them without calling for their complete ban. All bills should be considered on their individual merits without earmarks or unrelated riders. This is a no-brainer.
