Split end Dwayne Jarrett did not practice Monday because of a concussion suffered while making a touchdown catch against California, but the All-American said he would play on Saturday against Notre Dame.

“They said it was a mild concussion,” Jarrett said. “They just want me to take it easy. I’m a little bit banged up too but I should be ready.”

Jarrett was hurt after he caught a 25-yard scoring pass from John David Booty in the fourth quarter.

“My head hit the ground and the wind was knocked out of me,” Jarrett said.

USC is hoping to receive good news today regarding receiver Chris McFoy. The senior, who fractured bones in his shoulder area against Washington State on Sept. 30, said he anticipated that he would be cleared to play against the Fighting Irish.

C.J. Gable’s performance Saturday against California and Chauncey Washington’s knee soreness could put the freshman on track to start for the second week in a row.

Washington did not practice and said he was day-to-day.

Gable rushed for 91 yards in 19 carries in the 23-9 win over Cal.

“Usually, I get two or three carries and that’s it, so I can’t really show what I can do,” Gable said. “This game I showed what I can do.”

Freshman Emmanuel Moody, who suffered an ankle injury Nov. 11 against Oregon, said he would not play against Notre Dame or UCLA but would return for the bowl game.

USC sent out bowl-game ticket applications via e-mail and regular mail to support group members and season-ticket holders, school officials said. Season-ticket holders who are not members of specified support groups are eligible to enter a lottery to purchase two Rose Bowl tickets. Bowl Championship Series title game tickets are not available to season-ticket holders. The application deadline is Nov. 30. This Monday, USC students will be sent an e-mail about a separate lottery that will be held on Dec. 4. Winners will be notified by Dec. 9. Information: (213) 740-4672.
