From Times Wire Reports

As expected, the City Council on Wednesday voted to impose the city’s living wage ordinance on hotels near Los Angeles International Airport. The council approved the action last week, but a second vote was required for it to become law.

The living wage requires hotels near the airport to give a majority of their 3,500 workers a raise. The hotels also are required to share banquet tips with workers and retain workers should they change owners.
