No. 1 Ohio State 38, at Michigan State 7: The Buckeyes (7-0, 3-0) extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 14 games and had little trouble with the fading Spartans (3-4, 0-3) at East Lansing. Michigan State gained only 79 yards in the first half and trailed 24-0 at the break. Troy Smith completed 15 of 22 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns for Ohio State.

at Indiana 31, No. 15 Iowa 28: James Hardy caught three touchdown passes, and quarterback Kellen Lewis produced his second straight fourth-quarter rally to lead the Hoosiers (4-3, 2-1) to an upset over the Hawkeyes (5-2, 2-2) at Bloomington.

at No. 25 Wisconsin 48, Minnesota 12: John Stocco threw four touchdown passes and P.J. Hill ran for two scores as the Badgers (6-1, 3-1) defeated the Gophers (2-5, 0-4) at Madison. Hill finished with 164 yards in 25 carries.

Purdue 31, at Northwestern 10: Curtis Painter threw for a career-high 431 yards and two touchdowns, and the Boilermakers (5-2, 2-1) defeated the Wildcats (2-5, 0-3) at Evanston, Ill. Painter set career highs with 35 completions and 49 attempts.

Ohio 20, at Illinois 17: Matt Lasher kicked a 32-yard field goal with five seconds left to give the Bobcats (4-3) the victory over the Illini (2-5) at Champaign.
