Marine Recruit Dies After Strength Test

A Marine recruit died shortly after he took a strength test, one of the first physical tests recruits take, authorities said.
Adam Aube, 18, of Brunswick, Maine, died on the way to the hospital, a Parris Island spokesman said. The cause of death has not been determined, he said.
To pass the initial exam, a recruit must complete 40 crunches and two pull-ups, and complete a 1 1/2 -mile run in 13 minutes or less, Parris Island officials said.
