Let’s not forget Robinson now

Ten years ago I was concerned that retiring No. 42 in perpetuity wouldn’t allow individuals to honor the great accomplishments of Jackie Robinson. I am happy to say that I was wrong and proud to see how many individuals and teams rose to the occasion to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Robinson’s historic achievement.

Seeing all those 42s gave me an idea for another fitting tribute to Mr. Robinson. How about the Dodgers change the name of their triple-A Las Vegas affiliate from the 51s to the 42s? After all, nobody believes in Area 51 and I think it’s unanimous that we all believe in No. 42.
