Ian’s mislabels turkey products
Ian’s Natural Foods, a Massachusetts company specializing in antibiotic- and hormone-free foods, recalled 12,894 pounds of frozen turkey products that were mislabeled, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.
The label failed to list nonfat milk, a known allergen, among its ingredients, the USDA said. The recalled products include 8-pound boxes of Ian’s Popcorn Turkey Corn Dogs and Ian’s Batter Dipped Turkey Sausage Dogs.
About 811,000 Skil brand circular saws with various date codes, manufactured in the U.S. by Robert Bosch Tool Corp., were recalled because the saw may continue to operate when it’s in the locked position and the user releases the trigger. The recalled circular saws were sold nationwide. They have model numbers 5650, 5700, 5750 and 5755. Consumers should contact the company for a free repair. About 37,100 Classic Beautyrest electric warming throw blankets, manufactured in China and imported by International Home Fashions Inc., were recalled because the blankets can overheat, posing a risk of fires or burns. The company has received 38 reports of overheating, including at least 15 reports of fires and four reports of burns. About 1,500 N.I.C.E. P200 Navigation and Entertainment Systems, manufactured in South Korea and distributed Clarion Corp. of America, were recalled because the lithium-ion batteries can overheat or melt, posing a risk of burns and fires. This is in addition to the 2,500 units Clarion recalled in December. The company has received 15 reports of units overheating or melting, but no reports of injuries. About 500 Stubben Steeltec SEQ Stirrups, made in Pakistan and imported by Stubben North America Inc., are being recalled because the stirrups’ hinges can break, posing a fall hazard to riders. The company has received two reports of the stirrups breaking. No injuries have been reported. Stubben dealers sold the product. Consumers should return them to Stubben for a full refund.
