New York 8, at Washington 2: Carlos Beltran homered twice and drove in four runs and the Mets completed a three-game sweep. Shawn Green’s two-run single in the eighth sparked a four-run rally.
San Francisco 6, at Florida 5: Guillermo Rodriguez, Ryan Klesko and Rajai Davis all scored after a trio of Florida errors in the seventh inning.
at San Diego 5, Houston 3: Greg Maddux held Houston to two hits in six innings, had two hits himself and helped prevent a three-game sweep.

at Atlanta 6, Arizona 2: Mark Teixeira drove in four runs with two homers and John Smoltz became the Braves’ all-time strikeout leader.
at Dodgers 4, Colorado 3: Ramon Martinez hit a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth inning and finished with three runs batted in for the Dodgers.
