‘Early Show’ taps Maggie Rodriguez

CBS News on Tuesday named former KABC-TV Channel 7 anchor Maggie Rodriguez the new co-anchor of “The Early Show,” a week after announcing Hannah Storm was leaving the morning program for a still-to-be-determined role in the news division.

Rodriguez, who has co-anchored “The Saturday Early Show” since June, will join Harry Smith and Julie Chen on the weekday show Jan. 7.

Storm’s last day on the program has not yet been decided.
