SAN DIEGO -- Kelvin Davis scored 16 points and Lorrenzo Wade had 14 to lead San Diego State to a 59-46 victory over UC Riverside on Tuesday night.

Davis made six of 12 shots in a game San Diego State (8-1) made only 34% of its field-goal attempts, including a three-for-15 shooting performance from three-point range.

The win matched the best nine-game start in San Diego State’s 38-year Division I history. It was the fifth time the Aztecs have reached the mark, including last season.
