at Cleveland 118, Indiana 105: LeBron James returned and scored 17 points in 22 minutes off the bench to help the Cavaliers end a six-game losing streak. Larry Hughes also came off the bench and had a season-high 36 points. James had sat out five games because of a sprained left index finger.

Portland 97, at Utah 89: Martell Webster scored 25 points, and the Trail Blazers won on the road for only the second time this season in upsetting the Jazz without leading scorer LaMarcus Aldridge, who has a foot injury. Portland is also on a season-high four-game winning streak. Utah has lost four in a row.

at Golden State 96, San Antonio 84: The Warriors used a 30-12 second quarter to hand the Spurs their first defeat in the three games since Tim Duncan (ankle injury) was sidelined. Stephen Jackson scored 20 points and Baron Davis had 18 for the Warriors, who improved to 12-3 in their last 15 games.

Toronto 100, at Atlanta 88: T.J. Ford scored 26 points before he was sent crashing to the court by Hawks rookie Al Horford on a breakaway basket in the Raptors’ victory. Ford was hospitalized, but a spokesman confirmed he “had feeling in his upper and lower extremities.” Horford was ejected with a flagrant foul.

at Washington 102, Minnesota 88: With the Wizards down to nine healthy players, Antawn Jamison scored 22 points to lead six double-figure scorers in helping them overcome a career-high 36 points from the Timberwolves’ Craig Smith. The Wizards improved to 8-5 without Gilbert Arenas (knee injury).

Detroit 113, at Memphis 103: Chauncey Billups had 28 points and 14 assists, and Richard Hamilton had 27 points as the Pistons won for the seventh time in their last eight games while handing the Grizzlies their fifth straight loss. Detroit shot 51% and committed only eight turnovers.

at Chicago 123, Seattle 96: Ben Gordon scored 27 points, Luol Deng had 20, and the Bulls scored their most lopsided victory of the season in winning for the fifth time in their last seven games. The league’s worst-shooting team, Chicago converted 53.7% of its field goals.

Clippers 91, at New Jersey 82: The Clippers limited the Nets to 32% shooting to win at New Jersey for the first time since Jan. 15, 1998, a span of eight games.
