What a trip
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that on the same page [Dec. 8, D3] reporting an investigation into potential improper benefits awarded to USC’s star running back Reggie Bush in 2004 and 2005, there is an item reporting that USC’s star quarterback, John David Booty, was excused from football practice in order to take a field trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific.
According to your report, the field trip was worth “30% of the grade in the class” and Booty admits, “I need that 30%.”
A field trip worth 30% of an academic grade? Talk about your improper benefits. What was the class? “Fish for Football Players”?
