* at Pittsburgh 4, Boston 2: Gary Roberts had two goals and an assist and linemate Georges Laraque had a goal and an assist for the Penguins. The Bruins have lost four in a row.

* Nashville 3, at Columbus 1: Jean-Pierre Dumont broke a tie with 38 seconds left and Chris Mason made 30 saves in the Predators’ 11th consecutive victory over the Blue Jackets.

* Atlanta 3, at St. Louis 2 (OT): Marian Hossa scored on a breakaway at 19 seconds of overtime after a defensive mistake, and Ilya Kovalchuk scored his NHL-leading 29th goal for the Thrashers. Hossa swept in alone on goalie Manny Legace after Jay McKee fumbled the puck in the air and lost control after Eric Perrin flipped it into the St. Louis zone.

* at Chicago 3, Edmonton 2: Defenseman Brent Seabrook had his first two-goal game in the NHL and Nikolai Khabibulin made 25 saves for Chicago.

* Ottawa 3, at N.Y. Rangers 1: Chris Kelly ended a second-period tie and Martin Gerber came back from a day off to lead the Senators. Gerber, who sat out the Senators’ 4-3 overtime loss to Chicago at home on Saturday night, made 34 saves to earn his fourth win in five outings.

* at Colorado 3, Vancouver 1: Cody McCormick and Andrew Brunette scored in a 1:34 span of the third period and Peter Budaj made 21 saves for the Avalanche. Colorado, 5-0-1 in its last six games, moved into a tie for first place with the Canucks in the Northwest Division.

* at Dallas, 4, Montreal 1: Mike Ribeiro had a goal and two assists in his first game against his former team, and Antti Miettinen and Brenden Morrow also scored. Stu Barnes scored a goal to help the Stars improve to 6-1 in their last seven games.

* New Jersey 1, at Calgary 0 (OT): Martin Brodeur broke a tie with George Hainesworth for second place on the NHL’s career shutout list, making 30 saves for the Devils. Brodeur has three shutouts this season and 95 in his career. Terry Sawchuk had 103 in his career. Patrik Elias beat Miikka Kiprusoff 25 seconds into overtime.
