A loss for jazz
Re “Pianist dazzled jazz world with technique, creativity,” obituary, Dec. 25
Oscar Peterson’s last performance at the Hollywood Bowl was one I will always treasure. I have been a fan for many years and introduced his music to my son, who became an avid fan as well. The sounds from Peterson’s piano will hopefully be heard, appreciated and enjoyed for many generations to come and by all who recognize the beauty of his talent. The stage at the Hollywood Bowl will be a little more cold and empty without him there to warm it up with his magic touch. The music world has lost one of its best.
