Eagles 17, Bills 9

Brian Westbrook’s next chance to dazzle will come in the Pro Bowl.

With the Eagles eliminated from a playoff spot, Westbrook still gave their fans a reason to celebrate with two team records in Philadelphia’s 17-9 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Westbrook set marks for most receptions (90) and yards from scrimmage (2,104).

The finale was meaningless for both, though the Eagles (8-8) did finish with a three-game winning streak.

Had Donovan McNabb performed at the start of the season as he did at the end, perhaps his future wouldn’t be the topic of speculation.

The Eagles made rookie Kevin Kolb the No. 2 quarterback for the first time this season when McNabb and A.J. Feeley were healthy, but he didn’t take a snap. McNabb was 29 for 41 for 345 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

McNabb will probably be back for at least one more season, and so will Coach Andy Reid.

The Bills (7-9) failed in their bid for a .500 record.
