At the tracks: Pull up a stool and have a drink

Talk about horsing around. One of the Southland’s hottest clubs is at Santa Anita Park, home of thoroughbred racing from Dec. 26 until April 22. Dubbed the Forerunner, the 570-capacity lounge boasts the second-longest bar in America (the first being somewhere in Michigan). Among those who have bellied up to the serpentine bar in recent weeks are Joe Pesci, Kevin Dillon, Jimmy Fallon, Ken Norton Jr. and Pete Rose. On Sunday, the park is hosting a wrap party for “Crossing Jordan” and in April, David E. Kelley is tossing a bash there. Also look for KROQ-sponsored microbrew festivals at the Arcadia track on March 3 and April 7. ... Chris Breed, who has brought the town such lovelies as the Cabana Club, the Roxbury and Pig n’ Whistle, is revamping his White Lotus nightclub and plans to reopen it in April under the moniker Ritual.

New club has grand plans

Tatou nightclub in downtown makes its official debut tonight with a birthday bash for owner J.D. Iriarte. And we hear it has plans to open a 5,000-square-foot rooftop club. The rooftop is set to open early next year and is expected to feature a faux volcano and real waterfalls.... Scene king Brent Bolthouse shows another side tonight, as he debuts his photography in a joint exhibit at Quixote Studios tonight.... New at Citizen Smith in Hollywood: Delicious Mondays hosted by Mark Wahlberg (yeah, that Mark Wahlberg).... Courteney Cox brought her little doll, Coco, for a poolside lunch at Blue on Blue restaurant last Thursday. And she and her husband noogied at Il Sole in WeHo on Valentine’s Day.... Beauty Bar in Hollywood is set to celebrate its seventh anniversary on Wednesday with a set by DJ Adam 12 of She Wants Revenge.

Gearing up for the Oscars

This year’s biggest pre-Oscar party hit town Tuesday night. The Alliance’s sixth annual GM Ten event included a performance by Beck and “Dreamgirls’ ” Jennifer Hudson, who closed out the evening. Previous performers have included John Legend, Kanye West and Jamie Foxx. This year’s event was held at the Paramount Studios back lot, and the after-party took place at Teddy’s, where Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Kirsten Dunst, Penelope Cruz, Bruce Willis, Leonard DiCaprio, Zach Braff and Orlando Bloom were among the revelers....And, speaking of the Roosevelt Hotel hotspot, which is also hosted by the Alliance’s Josh Richman, Shane Powers and Hartwell, Saturday’s guests included Ashleigh Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Cruz and Bloom. And on Thursday, Sports Illustrated swimsuit babes Anne V. and Ana Beatriz Barros showed some skin.... Hartwell and Richman also host Les Deux Cafe on Fridays, and we hear Justin Timberlake was there last week, along with the Simpson sisters and La Lohan.
