Rolling car pins woman underneath
A woman was pinned under her car after she and her husband stopped to take pictures near the Golden Gate Bridge and their Chevy Malibu began rolling downhill.
The incident occurred Monday south of the Waldo Tunnel on Highway 101.
As the couple stood outside the car, it began creeping downhill toward traffic. Their 6-year-old son was inside.
The woman’s leg was pinned under a tire, said Sgt. Diana McDermott of the California Highway Patrol.
Her husband was afraid to move the car and risk further injury to his wife, but three witnesses stopped and lifted the car off her. McDermott said the couple’s son might have released the parking brake inside the car.
