Protesters say army killed innocents

About 1,000 religious hard-liners chanting, “Jihad!” staged rallies in a Pakistani town against an army airstrike on a suspected Al Qaeda hide-out and alleged that the attack had killed innocent laborers, police and witnesses said.
The backers of the Jamiat-ul-Ulema-e-Islam party marched through Tank, about 100 miles north of Tuesday’s attack site in the South Waziristan tribal region near the Afghan border.
