‘Trophy heads’ are no prize
RE “Wild, Styled and Gleefully Cruelty-Free,” Jan. 18: When I first saw this story, I couldn’t believe it. How could anyone believe that plastic replicas of dead animal heads are cute, or ironic, or anything but disgusting?
Then it dawned on me: The entire article is satire, of course.
Congratulations! Jonathan Swift would be very proud.

THE phrase “trophy heads” immediately brings to my mind the trophy human heads acquired and prized by many human groups -- in the past, one hopes. So, for an edgier look, why not display a bowl of faux shrunken heads? I’m sure you or your readers can imagine many other clever ways to use these items guaranteed to stimulate (or freeze) conversation. Tiny ones could be handed out as party favors ....
