Go with the best

Whatever gains the U.S. soccer team achieved in the Gold Cup vanished quickly with its wretched performance in the Copa America. Why experiment rather than sending the best team possible? This would be the same as the Dodgers or Angels using rookies and minor leaguers in the playoffs or the Ducks playing with their farm team in the Stanley Cup finals.

This is absurd and is counter to trying to win a prestigious tournament and growing the fan base. Why even bother to enter if you give up before the games even start?
