Turning up juice on Bonds
As his “best friend” and former trainer Greg Anderson continues to rot in a jail cell because Barry Bonds refuses to come clean, Barry thinks he’s gotten away with years of cheating the national treasure we call baseball. Take a poll of Hall of Fame players and fans and see if he’s right. I believe he’ll be forever on the outside looking in, getting his “juiced deserts,” as The Times so eloquently put it. Karmic justice will prevail.

Go ahead, Barry, swagger all you want. Insult the fans, the media, whatever makes you happy. But for the love of God, stop playing the race card. Doing so is an affront to Jackie Robinson and Henry Aaron, men who elevated the game with dignity, courage and class. Except for your skin color, you have absolutely nothing in common with them.
Their legacy is secure, Barry. And so is yours.
