I wonder how President Franklin Delano Roosevelt would have been viewed if he were president after 9/11 and had rounded up all the Muslims in the U.S. and sent them to a Manzanar-like internment camp?

Not only was Republican Frank Knox FDR’s secretary of the Navy, he was also the Republican candidate for vice president in 1936. There is speculation that Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) could join Bush’s Cabinet. Bush may emulate FDR yet.
