Mood swings
THIS may be a rhetorical question, but has Aaron Sorkin lost his brilliant mind [“Sorkin Takes the Blame for ‘60,’ ” by Patrick Goldstein, July 17]? As a huge fan of his work, I find it hard to believe that he actually said, “TV has a very measurable effect on our national mood. When TV gets bitchy and pissy, you find Americans getting bitchy and pissy too,” and meant it.
Yeah, maybe Americans in Los Angeles and New York, but they were already bitchy. Seems Mr. Sorkin is due for a cross-country drive, where he’ll find most Americans have much bigger worries than whether Tony Soprano lives or dies.
