* at Florida 10, Cincinnati 2: Scott Olsen won in his first start after a two-game suspension for insubordination and conduct detrimental to the team. He limited the Reds to four hits and two runs, the result of solo homers by Jeff Conine and Brandon Phillips.

* Houston 2, at Pittsburgh 1: Carlos Lee’s two-run homer in the first inning was the difference. The Pirates’ seventh consecutive loss dropped them into last place in the Central Division for the first time this season.

* Colorado 3, at Washington 1: Aaron Cook, who entered the game with the lowest strikeouts-per-nine-innings ratio in the major leagues (2.82), had a career-high eight strikeouts in seven shutout innings, and the Rockies won for the 10th time in 14 games.

* St. Louis 4, at Atlanta 2: Juan Encarnacion drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth and added a sacrifice fly in the ninth to back seven strong innings from Adam Wainwright. Winning for the fourth time in five starts, Wainwright lowered his earned-run average over his last five road starts to 1.86.

* San Francisco 8, at Milwaukee 4: The Giants ended an eight-game losing streak in Milwaukee dating to May 4, 2006. Jeff Suppan’s winless skid reached five starts for the Central Division-leading Brewers.

* at Chicago 6, Arizona 2: Aramis Ramirez homered and had four RBIs as the surging Cubs improved to 7-1 since the All-Star break. They’ve won 19 of their last 24 games.

* Philadelphia 7, at San Diego 3: Adam Eaton hit an RBI single to help beat his old team. It was his first start at Petco Park since the Padres traded him to Texas on Jan. 4, 2006,

* New York 4, at Dodgers 1: Brett Tomko, making his second strong start since replacing injured Randy Wolf in the rotation, yielded an unearned run and five hits over six innings.
