* at Cincinnati 7, Milwaukee 3: Jeff Suppan (8-9), the Brewers’ big off-season signing, gave up five runs -- all with two outs -- and 10 hits in five innings. Suppan has pitched five or fewer innings in six of his last eight starts. Cincinnati catcher David Ross dislocated the small finger on his right hand while sliding headfirst into second base on a fourth-inning double. Cincinnati shortstop Pedro Lopez left the field on a cart, holding a bloody towel to his mouth, after he was hit on the left side of the head by Matt Wise’s pitch in the eighth.

* at Arizona 7, Florida 0: Brandon Webb threw seven shutout innings for his first victory in nearly a month and the Diamondbacks won their fifth in a row. Chris Young homered and Scott Hairston was two for four with two doubles and three runs batted in for the Diamondbacks.

* at San Francisco 2, Atlanta 1: Rich Aurilia hit a tiebreaking homer in the sixth inning, Noah Lowry held Atlanta scoreless after giving up a run in the first and the Giants got a rare victory with Barry Bonds out of the lineup.

* at New York 6, Pittsburgh 3: Tom Glavine pitched six innings to earn career win No. 299 and Paul Lo Duca drove in four runs. Glavine (9-6) gave up three runs and eight hits.

* Chicago 7, at St. Louis 1: Ted Lilly won his seventh decision in a row and Cliff Floyd and Mike Fontenot both drove in two runs for the Cubs.

* at Colorado 10, San Diego 2: Ryan Spilborghs’ leadoff homer in the fifth put Colorado ahead, 3-2, and the Rockies blew open the game with a four-run sixth.

* at Philadelphia 7, Washington 5: Ryan Howard hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 14th inning for the Phillies.

* at Houston 2, Dodgers 1: Jeff Kent’s monster home run was the only dent L.A. could make against the Astros.
