* at Colorado 10, Cincinnati 9 (10 innings): Back in the lineup after being benched for two games, Garrett Atkins homered and singled in the winning run for the Rockies.

* St. Louis 8, at Houston 6 (10 innings): So Taguchi and Albert Pujols hit 10th-inning homers against Dan Wheeler. Pujols also homered in the eighth inning against Chad Qualls and David Eckstein hit the sixth leadoff home run of his career. The Cardinals have won four of their last five.

* at Chicago 10, Atlanta 1: Mark DeRosa hit a grand slam, Alfonso Soriano and Derrek Lee hit solo homers, and the Cubs closed out a tumultuous weekend by ending a six-game losing streak.

* at Milwaukee 3, Florida 0: Ben Sheets pitched six shutout innings, and the Brewers won their first series in nearly a month.

* San Diego 7, at Washington 3: Josh Bard homered and drove in a career-high four runs, and David Wells threw five solid innings in the rain.

* at Philadelphia 9, San Francisco 8: Ryan Howard’s three-run shot helped the Phillies prevail.

* Dodgers 5, at Pittsburgh 4: Andre Ethier’s two-run homer in the eighth against Salomon Torres finished a five-run comeback in the late innings.
