* San Francisco 5, at Arizona 4 (11 innings): Pedro Feliz and Omar Vizquel provided the power with homers and Barry Bonds returned to the lineup after sitting out two games to add a run-scoring single at Phoenix. Vizquel lined a go-ahead single to left in the 11th off Brandon Medders (1-2) to score Ray Durham. Feliz hit a tying solo shot to start the ninth off closer Jose Valverde for one of his three hits.

* at Colorado 7, Houston 6: Troy Tulowitzki singled home the winning run to cap a three-run rally in the ninth inning at Denver. Tulowitzki, who leads all National League rookies with 26 RBIs, began Colorado’s comeback with a two-run homer in the sixth off Roy Oswalt.

* Pittsburgh 3, at Washington 2: Jason Bay homered off Chad Cordero in the ninth inning and the Pirates won for the third time in nine games. It was the first run off Cordero since the closer returned from the bereavement list on May 14, a span of 13 appearances.

* Chicago 2, at Atlanta 1: Rich Hill (5-4) struck out 11, gave up three hits in eight innings and the Cubs won for the fourth time in five games in Manager Lou Piniella’s return from a four-game suspension.

* Cincinnati 5, at St. Louis 1: Kyle Lohse came within two outs of his second shutout in three starts and the Reds got home runs from Ken Griffey Jr., Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Dunn. Cincinnati ended a four-game losing streak.

* Philadelphia 6, at New York 3 (10 innings): Chase Utley delivered the go-ahead hit in extra innings for the second time in three days as the Phillies swept the three-game series.

* at San Diego 6, Dodgers 5: Jonathan Broxton walked pinch-hitter Russell Branyan with the bases loaded in the ninth as the Padres rallied for five runs in the inning to win it.
